On March 11, 2024, Bluwhale announced a $7 million seed round to advance its AI-powered wallet-intelligence platform and help decentralized applications connect with wallet holders. The round brought together institutional investors, Web3 funds and technology leaders around a shared opportunity: making blockchain data more useful while putting users at the center of the experience.
A $7 million milestone for Bluwhale
The seed financing supported Bluwhale's work on AI-powered insights, user-controlled digital profiles and more relevant connections between applications and their audiences. The company was operating an open-beta platform at the time of the announcement.
For dApps, the opportunity was to understand the people behind wallet activity more effectively. For wallet holders, Bluwhale's approach emphasized choosing what information to share and how to engage with applications.
Investors backing the vision
The announcement identified SBI Ven Capital and SBI Decima Fund among the participants. SBI also confirmed an investment through the SBI-Sygnum-Azimut Digital Asset Opportunity Fund.
Other participants named in the release included Cardano, Momentum6, Primal Capital, NxGen, Ghaf Capital Partners, Spyre Capital and Baselayer Capital, alongside technology leaders Haseeb Qureshi, Charles Huang and Jack McCauley.
The backing connected Bluwhale with experience across financial services, blockchain infrastructure, consumer technology and emerging digital markets.
Connecting AI, wallet intelligence and user choice
Bluwhale's March 2024 platform vision centered on using AI to turn blockchain activity into meaningful context. Instead of treating each wallet as an isolated address, the platform aimed to help applications understand relevant patterns across consenting users' activity.
A user-controlled digital profile was central to that approach. Wallet holders could choose which information to share, while applications could use that context to make their outreach more relevant.
The announcement also described a model for connecting dApps directly with wallet holders and sharing value from that engagement with participating users. This brought personalization and user participation into the same product vision.
Early platform adoption
At the March 2024 announcement, Bluwhale reported that 180 companies had signed up for its open beta and that the platform had indexed more than 270 million wallets. Those milestones illustrated the scale of the data opportunity and the early interest in more contextual Web3 experiences.
Building a more useful connection between users and applications
The investment thesis brought together AI, blockchain activity and user choice. By helping applications interpret relevant wallet context, Bluwhale aimed to make discovery and engagement more useful for businesses and the people they serve.
The seed round marked a step forward in that mission: developing intelligence around the user and making fragmented digital activity easier to understand.
